Learning is more than absorbing facts, it is acquiring an understanding!
The pre-school area includes a teaching room for small group activities, a sensory room providing a space to help develop motor skills and serve as a space to support emotional regulation, and free flow access to the garden. We’re also proud to say that in our ‘family’ of staff we have a fully qualified teacher at Manor House Minster Nursery, giving your children the very best head start they can possibly get in preparation for Primary School.
Learning both indoors and outdoors, children thrive in our pre-school due to the richness, variety and opportunities offered
These children regularly explore beyond the nursery grounds. We take groups of children daily to our Forest School site and using our minibuses we also visit other places of interest such as The Spitfire Museum, Turner Contemporary and the local nature reserve, further enhancing our curriculum.
Learning both indoors and outdoors, children thrive in our pre-school due to the richness, variety and opportunities offered. Different children require different experiences, and our staff work on children’s individual interests, as well as regular planning around stories and community visits. This important year supports children to be ready for school, and equips them with the confidence and self-esteem they need for life.
Weekly trips to our award winning Forest School
Forest School embraces the outdoors as an inspirational learning environment.
Our nursery children have their own dedicated site as part of our 7 acre woodland site on the Quex Park Estate in Birchington. The children have their own wooden cabin, toilet/ changing facilities & outdoor shelters.
Impact of regular forest school sessions can develop healthier bodies & minds and significantly improves children’s confidence, social skills, language & communication.
